Photos from Tokyo protests

Last week, there were two anti-nuclear power plants protests in Tokyo. One of them was held in Setagaya on May 5th. It was Japan’s Children’s Day and a national holiday. Here’s the pictures by a photojournalist Munesuke Yamamoto.

“Setagaya Energy Shift 55 Parade: Let’s Walk for Children’s Future”

"Change 20 millisieverts per year radiation exposure standard immediately" reads the sign.

(The sign reads)"Life or nuclear power plants?" Despite showers, many citizens who were seriously worried about the situation in Japan gathered in Shibuya. But, they were divided into small groups by the police from the beginning (of the march).
